PANICLES AND LEAF BLAST CONTROL
(Pyricularia sp.)
- Panicles and Leaf Blast disease is caused by fungus Pyricularia sp.
- It has an impact on decreasing production yields and even crop failure, because it has disturbed since the beginning of the grain illing period.
- Attacks are often found during the rice planting season in the rainy season as well as the plant spacing which is too tight.
DAMAGE SYMPTOMS :
- Symptoms on the leaves : Spots on the leaves appear typically in a form of a rhombus and expand into blight.
- Symptoms on the panicles : brown-black rot at the base of the panicle (neck) and susceptible to fracture, rice panicles are upright and rice grains are not illed.
