Helopeltis attack

Typical damage appears as a discolored, necrotic area or lesion around the point of entry into the plant tissue into the plant tissue that becomes darker with the tissue around the puncture dies. Infestations during the early stages of fruit set often result in immature fruit drop. Affected leaves often curls and become deformed, sometimes dying from the tip or edges inward. Die back of young shoots is common under conditions of heavy infestation.
