Larvae feeds on the leaves and later makes holes in the fruit which can be up to the size of a pea. During feeding, half of the larva’s body remains outside the fruit. Early attacked fruit ripens. The fruit borer can eat the content, fruit and cause it to rot. The fruit becomes blackish and rotten so it decreases the quality.
